Welcome to the BAND
The Huntingdon High School Band has a long tradition of excellence including numerous awards for parades and several State Championships one of which was the first ever state and the most recent of which was in 2005. The band program which encompasses both semesters of the school year gives student many options for the expression of musical talent with marching band focused on during the first semester and concert band during the second. Students are constantly encouraged to practice and better their abilities.
A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR- "The mission of the Huntingdon High School Band is to provide the members with life changing experiences, musically, educationally, and socially, which help each individual member gain real world life skills, musical training and performance experiences. Through the development of the character traits of dedication, discipline and teamwork, each member of this close knit organization learns what is required to be successful on and off the performance field. Participation in the band instill confidence, quality of character and a strong work ethic that cannot be taught without commitment and responsibility, and is necessary for success in school, college and the real world."
