Mr. Harding is a familiar face at Huntingdon High School, but many of you may not realize that we have a hero gracing our halls. Colonel James C. Harding played football for Penn State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in agriculture. He joined the Air Force after graduation. During the 23 years he served, he distinguished himself as few men do. He earned 19 medals throughout his service time, many of them for his show of extraordinary heroism and bravery during combat. Colonel Harding is a master parachutist with 69 jumps,18 of which were combat from the Air Force in 1979 and went on to be the commandant of several Junior ROTC programs. We are blessed to have Colonel Harding share with us the actual experiences of one of America's hereos.
