		Mission Statement The mission of Huntingdon Middle School is to equip students with skills necessary for success in high school and to challenge them to become productive citizens in an ever increasingly technological society. We embrace the development of an appropriate curriculum and teaching strategies which will enable students to communicate, to reason, to solve problems, and to continue their learning.
		Vision Our vision for Huntingdon Middle School is to create a community of learners in which everyone is involved with challenging and successful learning experiences. Caring teachers will provide authentic learning challenges to meet the needs of all children. We envision our students to leave Huntingdon Middle School as good citizens who read proficiently, write competently, reason clearly, and relate effectively.
		Belief Statements Our staff believes that everyone should have access to public education. that all students learn in different ways and at different levels. that the education of all our students is a vital component to insure a thriving community in the future. that education involves intellect, emotions, physical well being and personal responsibility. that all staff members must feel empowered in order to perform at their maximum potential. that teachers must establish high academic and behavior standards. that mutual respect must exist between teachers and students. that teachers must communicate high expectations clearly. that we provide an environment in which concerned teachers set firm, consistent, and positive limits while providing an atmosphere conducive to learning. that studens are provided with a structured classroom and routine that provides optimal learning and success in light of students' strengths and weaknesses. that we encourage family and community support. that the educational experience involves using various teaching strategies and technologies to motivate and challenge the learning styles of individual students. that education makes a positive contribution to the success of students in terms of accepting responsibility, making good decisions, developing self-discipline, and creating a positive self-image.
