The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
by: Washington Irving

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow was an excellent choice for Huntingdon Middle School. It was interesting, and it held most of the student's attention. During this event, four actors participated in different roles throughout the entire play. The schoolmaster, Ichabod Crane, stayed one man in the play. The three other actors took place in various roles. One of the roles were the school children. Then it went on to individual roles such as, Katrina Van Tassel, Brom Bones, Katrina's maids, and the one and only Headless Horseman. From most of the opinions, most people's favorite scene was when the Headless Horseman finally entered the stage. Everybody was anxious to see the headless horseman. Ichabod Crane was a very good role for the actor that played him because of his facial expressions. You could tell that his facial expressions matched the setting. The students behavior throughout the whole play was very well-behaved. The play entertained them the whole time. We all give our thanks to Ms. Dillahunty for letting us take time out of our school work and go to enjoy a scary play very close to Halloween. We also give our thanks to The Dixie for letting Huntingdon Middle School come and enjoy the play of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
