At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, the guns on the battlefields of Europe fell silent to end the first world war. November 11 is called our Veteran's Day. We want to remember the service of our student's family members.

This year's Veteran's Day program was very interesting. During this ceremony we had Mr. McCollough and Mr. Marty Towater presenting. Mr. Towater spoke about how Veteran's Day actually started and all the history behind this special day. Mr. McCollough spoke about his personal experiences during the war. He also threw in a couple of jokes about World War II. The band and chorus participated as well. Chorus sang "God Bless the USA." The band played "America the Beautiful" and the "The Star-Spangled Banner." Brittany Grayson played "Taps" in honor of our veterans. The program was closed with the honoring of our veterans that attended the ceremony. We would like to thank all who attended and special thanks go to our speakers.
