The Huntingdon Primary School Counseling Program is an integral part of the total school educational program. It is developmental by design and includes sequential activities organized and implemented by the school counselor with the support of teachers, administrators, students, parents, and the community. The program delivers services in four areas:

The HPS counseling curriculum is planned, implemented and evaluated according to the State of Tennessee School Counseling Program Framework and Department of Education guidelines. Local needs and site and system goals (as determined by teachers, administrators, students, parents, and community) are, also, used to determine counseling program content and services.
