Week 5

McKenzie

McKenzie 24 - Mustangs 7

This week Huntingdon High School was extremely honored to have the colors presented by members of the Tennessee Army National Guard. The service members hoisted the colors as the Huntingdon Marching Mustangs played the Star Spangled Banner. What was extremely humbling and honoring by the event was that the flag that was raised was one that had flown in Iraq by one of the Tennessee Army National Guard units. If I am not mistaken, the unit that had flown this flag was the 1175th Transportation Company from Tullahoma, Tennessee. The flag was presented to the school by SFC Daniel Trebilcock, the local Army National Guard recruiter for Huntingdon High School.

Pictured above is SFC Daniel Trebilcock and Huntingdon High School Principal Mike Henson. As was previously mentioned SFC Trebilcock has been the local Army National Guard recruiter for Huntingdon High School for the past few years. Prior to the game on Friday night Mr. Henson presented SFC Trebilcock a plaque of appreciation for all his years of service and support to Huntingdon High School. SFC Trebilcock has recently taken a different assignment in Paris, Tennessee and will no longer be the local recruiter for the high school. SFC Trebilcock has been a tremendous asset to Huntingdon High School through his devotion and support for the school. It is with great sadness that we see him move on from our day-to-day association with him. We also wish him all the best in his future assignment.
